The first Image Symposium held this Saturday, 26 June 2010 at the European University or Rome Campus was a great success.

Prof. Marshall Langer lead the participants through a series of different questions, receiveving direct feedback from participants about their image and aura.


International Program of Forensic Studies in Rome

We are happy to announce the collaboration between Swiss School of Management, European University of Rome and California School of Forensic Studies (Allient International University).

During the annual International Forensic Week in Rome, all three institutions have agreed to launch a joint Master program covering aspects of forensic and criminology sciences. The program will be launched this year in Rome.


International Forensic Week in Rome - 2010

The International Forensic Week in Rome in collaboration with the California School of Forensic Studies (Alliant International University) has been a great Success.

During the last 10 days, students and instructors had the chance to visit the different Police Academies and Departments in Rome. The visit at the American Second World Cimitery was a touching moment. The one day tour in Naples and the visit at the Roman Prison of Regina Coeli were unique.

The closing night was a pizza in front of the illuminated Colosseum.

International Leadership Semester and Study Abroad Program

We are happy to announce the Joint Venture of the Swiss School of Management and the European University of Rome, forming the International Leadership Semester (www.ilsrome.org).

The International Leadership Semester is an 89-day study abroad program in Rome, Italy. The semester is accredited and run by the Swiss School of Management and the European University of Rome, on the same campus as the Pontifical Regina Apostolorum College. It is an international program hosting men and women students from around the world, ages 18 – 25.

At present, the ILS takes place twice a year. We are planning to offer the program 4 times a year. Including a Degree Abroad opportunity for undergraduate and post graduate international students.

Launch of the Dual MBA Program

Starting from this year, the Swiss School of Management in Rome together with INSEEC in Paris, will offer a joint Master of Business Administration Program of one year.

SSM students having acquired 60 credits have the possibility to join the international MBA program at INSEEC in Paris and acquire a second MBA degree.

The additional specializations offered by INSEEC are the following:

BUSINET Conference in Durham

This year's BUSINET conference was held in beautiful Durham in the North-East of England. Despite the cold and humid weather, dozens of delegates of the major European Universities have found their way to the conference.

Great Speakers and interesting workshops have shaped the warm atmosphere among the delegates.

New international coperations and exchanges have been agreed for the next academic year.

The next BUSINET conference will be held in Florence in November 2010.

This year's Convocation Deay for the MBA students of the Swiss School of Management in Rome, was held at new premises of the campus of the European University of Rome at the Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum.

During this occasion, the Presdient of SSM has awarded to the Rector of the European University of Rome, Prof. P. Paolo Scarafoni, L.C. a Master of Business Administration "Honores Causa".

The MBA graduates of SSM have been personally congratulated by Prof. Scarafoni for their great achievment. In the future, both insititution will work closer together to attract and skill more talented students from all over the world.


SSM London has become a UK Border Agency licensed education institution

By registering as licensed sponsors the Swiss School of Management is pledging to take responsibility for any foreign student they bring to London under Tier 4 of the points-based system, which is due to roll out over the next 12 months.

Under the new system international students will have to be sponsored by a UK Border Agency licensed education institution, prove that they have the means to support themselves and their families, and supply their fingerprints.


SSM relocates in the new campus!

As it gets more and more autumn-like in the eternal city, the Swiss School of Management is very excited to share this wonderful news with you all!

It has been carefully decided that Swiss School of Management will be moving its campus to a new location from the 1st of November 2009.

The new premises will be located within the campus of the European University of Rome at the Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum.

The campus is located in the western part of the city, in the area called Aurelia.

Visiting Shopping Malls in Rome

Armed with questionnaires and sharp observation skills, they were able to constructively appraise shops from a retail marketing management point of view.

Needless to say, that it was also a lot of fun!


New Academic Collaboration

The Swiss School of Management is happy to announce its new academic collaboration with the prestigious New College Durham (NCD) in the UK.

Students holding the Advanced Diploma in Business Administration awarded by SSM, can join the last academic year at NCD and obtain a BA (Hons) Management Business and Administration from a UK based University.

In addition to the SSM Advanced Diploma NCD requires Grade C GCSE in English or an International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) score of 6.0 or a TOEFL score of 550/213 – for undergraduate study.

The 2009 - MBA Adventure Day

The MBA Adventure Day in Ostia was a great success. Candidates had the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge, to overcome their initial fears and challenges in real life situations.

Using basic NLP and conditioning techniques, participants tried to anchor successful experiences to their goals and targets of their upcoming future after the MBA program.

The exercises consisted of team building activities and individual conditioning to overcome obstacles and fears. Exercises on the high ropes were supervised by experienced trainers and tutors. To see the pictures of the MBA Adventure Day click here.

We are happy to announce our new collaboration with Alliant International University in the US. More specifically with their prestigious school of business management; the Marshall Goldsmith School of Management.


In the coming weeks, together with Prof. Dr. Jim Goodrich, Dean of MGSM, we will explore different ways of collaboration leading to dual certificates for SSM’s MBA students and/or a dual MBA degree awarded by AIU. The idea is to foster student and faculty exchange, promoting internationalization and Cultural exchange.

Additionally, the Swiss School of Management will be venturing into a new academic field which is Forensic Studies.

Under the personal guidance of Prof. Dr. Eric Hickey, Director of the faculty of Forensic Studies at AIU. Collaboratively, we will create an international academic platform of forensic studies in Rome with a global outreach.

Despite the tragedy that has happened about 100Kms away from Rome (L'Aquila, Abruzzo), we are happy to announce to all parents, relatives and friends that all students currently studying at SSM Rome are all well and safe!

Successful Graduates of the dual Advanced Diploma in Business Administration and Administrative Management are eligible for direct entry into the final year of the BA (Hons) Business Management or BA (Hons) International Business Management of the Teesside Business School, University of Teesside in the UK.

The 2008 Conference of the Businet network was held in Palma de Majorca.

The theme of the Conference was “Current Issues in European Higher Education”. This title will provide a vehicle that allows for any contemporary issues and debates that are important to us to be explored.

It was also the intention of the Board to promote working groups by their curriculum area, dropping the HED prefix on Conference documentation. The idea behind this is that it makes the subject focus of the groups more understandable to new members and first time delegates.

The Swiss School of Management, was the only institution representing Italy. New projects and collaborations have been initiated with other European institutions based on dual awards and study abroad programs.

SSM is proud to be part of such a great Network.

Increased frequency of examination sessions for Undergraduates

In order to make progression through the qualifications quicker and easier for students, we are going to hold four examination sessions a year rather than the current two.

The new programme will mean sessions are held in March, June, September and December.

The first 'extra' examination session will therefore be held in September 2008, in addition to the June and December sessions already publicised.

IAM Accreditation

The Institute of Administrative Management Accreditation

The Institute of Administrative Management IAM has accredited the Swiss School of Management to deliver their programs at Introductory Award, Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels.

Upon successful completion of the Advanced Diploma, students can progress to the BA (Hons) degree in Strategic Administrative Management, awarded by the Oxford Brookes University Business School - a dedicated progression route for IAM qualification holders.
Candidates already holding a relevant degree can enter directly in to the IAM's Advanced Diploma. Equally, they may apply directly for Masters level programmes at UK universities subject to meeting the stipulated entry criteria.

The Swiss School of Management offers tuition for all of the IAM's programmes, as an Accredited Centre. SSM is also seeking recognition to offer tuition support to students studying for the BA (Hons) degree in Strategic Administrative Management.

The Swiss Swill School of Management has been accredited by the European Academy for Economic and Cultural Relations (AEREC) based in Rome, Italy.

The European Academy for Economic and Cultural Relations was founded as a department of the National Body for the Development of Industry, Commerce and Handicraft constituted in 1981 with the purpose to develop economic, commercial and cultural, as well as humanitarian projects throughout the world.
