Programme Aim
The aim of the Diploma in Administrative Management & Business Administration is to develop an appreciation of the people-management functions within the organisation. It provides a general introduction to the relevance of the systems approach and asks candidates to consider administration in its wider organisational context. Candidates are introduced to some of the key concerns of administrative managers within a rapidly changing environment, including appreciation of the need to manage information.

The award is made up of 5 units:
Unit 1:People in Organisations
Unit 2:Administative Systems and Processes
Unit 3: Professional Administration
Unit 4: Information for Decision Making
Unit 5: Case Study or Project Report
Assessment
The units are assessed by a three hour unseen written paper comprising two sections A and B. Section A has eight compulsory short answer questions designed to test candidates knowledge and understanding of concepts and terminology. Section B has a choice of two questions from four designed to assess the candidate's appreciation of the unit. A question will be set from each of the area Learning Syllabus.
The project report is assessed through a 3,000 - 4,000 word report to a senior manager.

Time for completion and start of the program
The Diploma in Administrative Management and Business Administration features four intakes a year: October, January, April and July. The maximum duration of the program is of one year. But you have the opportunity to finish it within six or nine months and proceed with the Advanced Diploma. Examinations are held every three months. Classes are three times a week each lasting three hours. School holidays and National holidays can be seen here. You will need to register with the IAM in order to follow the programme and receive your Award, upon successful completion.
Progression
Completion of the Diploma leads to the Advanced Diploma in Administrative Management and Business Administration. Successful completion of the Diploma entitles students to associate member of the IAM.

Fees
Students will need to register with the IAM in order to follow the programme and receive their Award, upon successful completion. The Registration costs £125.-/ per academic study year and is not included in the SSM Tuition Fees.
A study guide written by a leading specialist in the field will be handed over to every student.
For every exam (five in total) students need to pay an Examination Fee of £50/per examination directly to SSM.
Exams will be held every three months at the SSM premises in Rome or London.
