Executive MBA

The Executive MBA (EMBA) Program at the Swiss School of Management is designed specifically for high-achieving businesspeople that are looking to enhance their education without interrupting their careers. The program’s innovative curriculum and collaborative learning environment helps you apply your knowledge and skills to problems you face in today’s marketplace. An outstanding faculty exposes you to cutting-edge ideas and practices — ideas and practices that others will later adopt, teach and apply.
To date, many organizations have sponsored executive-potential employees as students in SSM’s EMBA program. Leaders of these organizations can attest to the fact that the skills you will acquire in the EMBA program are invaluable to the growth and development of their respective organizations.
The EMBA Program alternates between in-class lectures and independent guided studies, allowing busy candidates to continuo their studies despite their busy schedule of travelling.
In addition, there is the opportunity to participate in dual-degree programs, administered in partnership with SSM’s partner institutions. These programs award students MBA degrees from both schools.

What makes our Executive MBA distinctive?

Our Executive MBA Program has been developed to meet the educational needs of managers, executives, and other business leaders. It allows professionals to earn an MBA in two years or less while continuing to work full time. Participants enter the program, complete classes, and graduate with the same group of students.

Who attends the program?

Participants come from all types of organizations - profit, non-profit, or government-related - and all sizes - from large to small and in-between. They represent nearly every industry, including banking, health care, manufacturing, and technology, to name only a few. Most students enter the program with 10 or more years of professional or managerial experience. While the program sets its own admission requirements, we evaluate applicants on the following criteria:

·  Professional performance
·  Academic records
·  Professional recommendations
·  Demonstrated ability to accomplish graduate-level business course work
·  Work experience
·  Career goals

What happens in the class-room?

Our Executive MBA Program offers students a challenging, stimulating learning experience that maximizes the return on their investment of time and resources.

This MBA program is the first in the world to offer personal coaching on one to one basis for the entire duration of the program.

Students often work in teams during the program, strengthening their networking and broadening their perspectives and business problem solving. Students benefit from the extensive collective professional experience of other students in their class.

What course work does the curriculum include? The curriculum typically covers functional areas of business and the integration of those functional areas. As a result, students gain an understanding of the enterprise as a whole, as well as the ways in which all parts of the business fit together.

Only experienced faculty members lead courses. Many serve as consultants to industry, and they often are recipients of teaching awards. Courses cover much of the same areas as in traditional MBA programs: accounting, finance, statistics, management, marketing, and information systems. After satisfactorily completing course work, students receive a Master of Business Administration degree.

Assessment

Each course (module) is worth 4 Credit Points and is assessed by either an examination or an assignment, or by a combination of both.
